What is Faith Promise Missions Giving?
Faith Promise Missions Giving is simply a commitment between you and God to glorify His name through regular giving to expand the kingdom of God. It is not a pledge to the church, but an agreement to be personally involved in the evangelization of the world through giving (beyond your tithe). Faith Promise is not a tithe; it is an offering of thanks.
Who Should Give?
Everyone! Christ has commanded us in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) to take the message of salvation to all those who do not know Him. It is called the Great Commission, not the Great Suggestion. This is a command of God so every believer in Jesus Christ must be obedient.
Why Should I Give?
Most importantly, the Bible says to! In I Cor. 16 and II Cor. 8 & 9 Paul took up offerings from the early churches to help establish other churches and to reach the lost. Secondly, you have the chance to be a part of expanding the kingdom of God. You are able to partner with missionaries and nationals around the world who are on the front lines of reaching unreached people groups and nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ. You do not give to get, but in God’s economy, He blesses those who give because He can trust them to share the blessing with others.

How Much Should I Give?
The answer to this question must come from God through prayer. We do believe that everyone should give at least something on a consistent basis. We are praying for 100% participation from each family. We are encouraging individuals and families to give to help expand the kingdom God.
Should I give my regular tithes to Faith Promise Missions or Designated Missions?
No. Giving to missions is an offering above your tithes to the local church. Without the church, we would not have a Missions Ministry at Faith Baptist Church. Tithing is a clear teaching of Old Testament law. In the New Testament, tithing becomes a privilege under grace rather than an obligation under the law. If Old Testament law required at least a tithe, it is inconceivable that Christians would want to do less. “…Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it.” (Ephesians 5:25)
