Brent Marowelli Winter 2019 Missions Letter

By |December 13th, 2019|Categories: 2019, Brent Marowelli, Supported Missionaries|

We all know that Christ is not the reason for celebration to ALL people. That’s very sad considering at least half of “ALL” people have heard the true CHRISTmas story and just reject it. What about the good Bible to “ALL?” That is where the CHRISTmas story is found and nearly three billion are still waiting for it in their own heart language. The good news is that we used to say well OVER three billion are still waiting and now we believe that number is under three Billion.

Lawson Family November 2019 Adventures of Faith

By |November 21st, 2019|Categories: 2019, Brian Lawson Family, Supported Missionaries|

God still does the miraculous with handfuls on purpose! Recently, I learned that the container would need to be closed with a specific type of seal that is coded with a serial number. I knew nothing about this seal or its description. Forty-eight hours later, we presented our ministry in a church and after the services, a man employed with a shipping company asked me how he could help. I told him about the seal I needed and he graciously provided it on the next day. This is just a sample of all that God has done. With manifold miracles, we are trusting God to get the container through the mafia controlled ports. This has caused me to pray differently. We are now praying for the “they” of Romans 10:14. “They” are identified as nearly 10,000 homes, families, or individuals that will receive the Bibles in our container. I am now praying for “them” that will receive these Bibles so that “they” can call on HIM and believe in HIM! Please help me pray for “them” now before “they” receive a copy of God’s word. The container is scheduled to be picked up by a truck from our church on November 4th and leaves the port in New York on November 11th.

In October we had another really good month. I had training in two County jails and received my ID badge to be able to do ministry in these two jails. I had a total of eight jail meetings in October and had two saved in my visitation in the cell blocks. I worked three days in my local prison and had four saved there and some really good visits and services.

By |March 6th, 2019|Categories: 2019, Donald Sevigne Family, Supported Missionaries|

ndescribable – that’s the word that comes to mind as I write this latest prayer letter from an airplane. We are at the tail end of our deputation trip to the Carolinas; and God certainly blessed! Since our last prayer letter, we have had several churches join us in support, and have had the privilege to travel throughout the southern states, passionately sharing our vision for Cape Cod. The Gospel is the answer!

Donald Sevigne Family January 2019 Prayer Letter

By |February 10th, 2019|Categories: 2019, Donald Sevigne Family, Supported Missionaries|

God has been so good to us, like always! Since our last letter, we have had many great meetings across the country, and several churches joining us in support. I trust that you and your church families had a wonderful Christmas season; I know we did! One meeting I remember in particular was in early January in Webster, MA. I had the privilege to preach on Sunday AM, and preached a message on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Praise God, we had one young man saved! How exciting to preach a message on the Gospel, and have someone understand and believe it!

It is with great joy that I am writing our first prayer letter for 2019 from the Jungles of Papua New Guinea! So much have happened since our last update. We have emptied our house, packed our lives into six fifty-pound suitcases, and traveled to the opposite side of the earth to have the blessing of seeing the field where God has called us to minister! What a privilege to finally call Papua New Guinea, home.

Brandon Heselschwerdt Family Prayer Letter January 2019

By |February 8th, 2019|Categories: Brandon Heselshwerdt Family, Supported Missionaries|

God has been so good to us this past month, and we're excited to share some of the things God is doing through us on your behalf. The second weekend of January was very exciting. It started on Friday morning with Hannah waking up after having a nightmare that the “Snake” (Satan) had gotten her and that she could not leave Hell. My wife and I went through the Gospel with her and told her that in Jesus she would never have to fear the “Snake” or Hell. We then prayed through the sinner's prayer with her, and she asked Jesus to save her. Praise the Lord!

We have finished another year!! In April 2019 we will celebrate 22 years in the prison ministry. Praise the Lord. In the month of December, I preached in eight facilities and lead 26 inmates to the Lord. I also worked 118 hours in the Upper Midwest Bible Institute. We sent out 873 lessons and enrolled 38 new students. In 2018 we had many blessings and a few disappointments. I lost two full-time workers in 2018 but was able to move my schedule around to be able to do the jail and prison work.

In October while at Ridge Road Baptist Church in Brewton AL. serving the Lord, we continued to knock on doors, outreach ministries, building a bus route, teaching and discipleship. There were several professions of faith, three riding the bus and two in discipleship class.

I have seen John 14:26 come to life many times and again this month. I returned to a facility that I had preached in the week before and I hear things like “the Lord has been speaking to my heart” or “I can’t get that message out of my head” That’s the Holy Spirit!!

The Lord has blessed us with a really good month. I preached in eight prisons and led 24 inmates to the Lord. It’s been sweet to just be plain and simple with the Gospel and see how the Lord will do the work and do the saving. We had a really good mission’s conference at my home church this month and the faith promise was more than my pastor expected. I filled the pulpit of a good pastor friend that was recovering from surgery and it was a blessing to see the folks of Grace Baptist Church in Coleman, MI.

Christian Conduct: Righteous Living

By |November 26th, 2016|Categories: Family School, Family School Devotion Guides|

Family School Lesson - Christian Conduct: Righteous Living - The Bible is full of the word “righteous”. But in order to understand what the word means, we need to examine it in many uses and context. 1. In the Old Testament the word “righteous” refers largely to the outward and observable behavior of a person or nation. Righteous: Lawful, obedient, good. 1 Samuel 24:17 And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil.

Bible Foundations Lesson Seven: Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery

By |October 16th, 2016|Categories: Family School, Family School Devotion Guides|

There are many topics in the Bible that are touchy and very uncomfortable to discuss and even harder to hear someone teach or preach on. The topic this week is one of those difficult topics. Many things that are so clearly addressed in the Bible and that are identified as sin by God, have become so accepted and ingrained into modern thinking and philosophy. Things that were once a black or white issue have been smudged into a shade of grey. Thankfully the Word of God has not changed. As adults, I hope we all take advantage of the opportunity this week to teach our families the truth about morality; both inside the marriage relationship, and outside of it. As parents, you will have more of an impact with your children regarding this topic (as well as every other) than I, as the pastor, ever could.

Bible Foundations Lesson Three: Name in Vain

By |September 18th, 2016|Categories: Family School, Family School Devotion Guides|

Faith Baptist Church Family School - The Ten Commandments - 3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. The first commandment dealt with the question “Who do we worship?” and the second commandment dealt with the question “How do we worship?” Now it’s time for the third commandment. It will be dealing with the question “With what attitude do we worship?” Memorize Exodus 20:7 “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” The following passages are recommended reading for this week: Isaiah 1:1-15, 1Samuel 12:20-25, Matthew 15:1-9. The definition of the word “vain” is: Empty; worthless; having no substance, value or importance. Fruitless; ineffectual.”
